CE campaign sound effects?

As I’m playing through the Combat Evolved campaign I notice that some of the sound effects are locked in either classic or anniversary mode. For instance, the assault rifle, magnum, and warthog are all in classic mode. The sniper, grenades, and (I think) the needeler are in anniversary mode. Is this intentional to have mixed sound effects in the CE story? Because in the 360 version of H:CEA the sounds changed fine. And the H2A the effects/score change based on what you play in.
