I bought a used edition of CEA from Gamestop… it didn’t come with a card for the map pack itself (even if it’s used it should have, but that’s a discussion for another time and getting screwed is not 343i’s fault and I’m not going to blame them). I know they’re on disc but I’d like to be able to play from Reach… If I install CEA to my hard drive, will it work like installing the map pack?
I really enjoy Reach, and I’m so happy I finally have CEA, but I’d like to be able to access all of the maps at once whether it’s from CEA or Reach.
P.S. I have Reach as an on demand game (downloaded) so it’s all on my Hard Drive, I used to have a physical copy but I sold it 'cause the downloadable Reach came with my new Xbox. Not sure if this matters any.
Sorry to hear that but the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary only come with the Anniversary maps already installed for the multiplier for just that game, Halo: Reach Free Anniversary Map Pack Code and the code for master chief armor. Now if your talking about the Anniversary maps and Master Chief armor they only come with a brand new copy. But a USED copy it never has came with the downloadable code for Halo CE Aniversary. I know this as a FACT and from some of my friends experience whom I told them to buy brand new but they didn’t listen and guest what they didn’t get the downloadable codes. LOL. If buying used it’s rare to even get a single code in the case that wasn’t activated by the original Gamer who bought it and return it to gamestop then later you buy a used and no code. Otherwise you have to download the anniversary maps from marketplace to even play them on Halo: Reach. It’s really Common Sense buy brand new get codes, and buy used get “NO” codes.

Well, you would have to purchase them on xbox marketplace. I want to include this and i hate to burst your bubble, but the playlists in the Anniversary CE were removed back in August. The only way now to get anniversary achievements, you need to play halo reach MM. Just to let you know.
