Cat n Mouse map, for testing

GamerTag - Dr Element
Map - Tailpin Gully
Gametype - Cat n Mouse (Ideally would be infection… and hopefully shall be, but testing using an elimination slayer for now)

For those who don’t know. Cat n mouse basically wraiths (cats) hunting UNSC driver only vehicles (mice). Originally since Halo 2, wraiths could only splatter via honor rules. As I’m not a fan of honor rules and the fact wraiths don’t splatter how they used to… Shoot away.

Maps designed for a minimum of two wraiths (Blue team). Best if they are communicating. Rest of the players should go red (mongeese), team up in twos or go solo. At the moment the slayer gametype only provides one life and doesnt reward the evading mice with points. Once infection comes, hopefully I can set the dead mongeese to carry on to the infected side and have the remaining humans produce shield buffs during the last few minutes. Last team/man standing will earn points to make things work. Until then, slayers the test…

Should also be tested with more wraiths if preferred. Can and will get chaotic but is also great fun.

Wraith callouts are a great advantage. “Bridge”, “Scout hog”, “Flood plain”, “Boulder garden”, “Top forest”, “Bottom forest”, “Cave”, “Tunnel” etc. Big part of the map control. The wraiths can corner the mice at any area if working together. Would take a slippery bit of skill to glide by two coordinated wraiths as a mouse.

Mice have the odd stun weapon but generally need to run and evade only. there is two power weapons on the map at the moment. These should be used to harass the wraiths from the rider position on the goose. Don’t expect to go toe to toe with a wraith.

Try and break the map. Do what you want. Just let me know. I’m very thorough with the test process. Working on my second map now but will be tweaking Tailpin to perfection based on my tests and hopefully yours. One issue coming up is the ‘popping shadows’, I’m looking into budget cuts to smooth the shadows out, so some rocks etc my disappear, but hopefully not much will be noticed missing.

Any opinions?

I know, I know, a merry bump on the wrists.

Sounds interesting I would be up for that. I could probably play or whatever in the next 2 days.

HEY YOU!!
no bumping.
Cat and mouse was fun on Reach, cant wait for infection to come back to complete it.

I know, but a commentless thread kinda allows it  did you have a look? Keep in mind it’s designed for two cats to use callouts and corner mice. Been a big hit so far onmy end but people don’t enjoy the one life system, I get that, who wants to wait. At least with infection they will get to keep playing.
