By now ai would even pay 30 bucks to turn these horrible cosmetics off. Same goes for the utterly bad designed flame effects. Whoever is responsible for these: please, don’t work in this area anymore.
No, 343/Microsoft showed how easily they can make fools out of the player base. I’m not even surprised at all given the fact of how lost this generation is today when it comes to gaming.
I would think that’d be, because people like you refuse to play when you see them on your team… i have not seen that at all and that is a blantent disrespect for people. It’s not like this wasn’t in the game before now.
The only reason I didn’t get Cat ears is it wasn’t on the Reach Helmets (Air Assault hint hint). I don’t think microtransactions will kill the game. Its hurting it but its the lack of gamemodes have done and will continue to do damage. A road map (outside the Coop 3 months and Forge around Season 3) might help a little but will end up like Halo 5. The lacking of content is going to be the killer. Which will see peaks as people join in or return but its a bit of a turn off. Oh a year for infection, welp guess I’ll just play MCC or some other game. Oh no coop at launch guess we’re going to play some Project Zomboid instead.
I really hope they don’t do a Halo 5 roadmap. I really hope they don’t do a lazy time of day change to a map to say new map released.
I see no problem buying something for your armor as long as they keep adding maps and game modes. I remember paying for map packs, which can cause population divide. Less negative impact imo
Funny i never see people whining about "Bungie is chargin 30 bucks for new maps for halo 3 , nobody complains about FOTUs, Habayusa, the katana, and now they add cat ears and everybody and their mom are jumping ship like the boat sprung a leak and is sinking fast, Seriously people, stop being such authoritarain, your complaints may be causing more people to buy stuff, but you never thought that, Did you? you just thought. “OH my opinion is more important than yours, peasant. You don’t have freedom to use your money or your brain to do what you want, you have to do what I want.”
Peoples opinions and choices, don’t suddenly not matter ,because you said so, get over yourselves.
No we complained that was bs too, compared to now though people weren’t as vocal online back when that was released and a lot of us were also a lot younger.
Again the hyabusa and katana weren’t something you bought you earned it if my memory serves me well. A big difference to earning something too buying something.
I didn’t say what anyone should be doing anything with their money, so relax with your authoritarian bs.
My point is that because of a few people that have chosen to spend their money how they want the rest of us who gave a damn and don’t want this predatory behaviour in something we genuinely care about have lost out.
It’s more authoritarian to tell us to practically bend the knee, submit or bugger off if you disagree.
I find it crazy that, while everyone was rightfully complaining about the store, they go and get the ears. Like thanks for supporting a scummy system over something as dumb as cat ears.
All the non-canon armor is stupid, not just the cat ears. Tenrai has no place in Halo. (And neither did Hayabusa in Halo 3, before you say anything). The eSports skins also look equally tacky to my eyes, as do many of the weapon skins with excessive color.
Games were better when the art style was influenced by the artists’ visions rather than what sells best in the store.
OG Halo fans can’t support the system they implemented here. They’re not buying stuff. OG Halo fans are shaking their heads and playing Halo 3 right now.
I mean, I get the way economics works, but that isn’t really the point.
The exploitative system 343 is using is wrong, ethically. They’re taking advantage of not only all the kids that are spending their parents money on things that took no work or artistic skill to create, they’re also taking advantage of their own artists and employees because they don’t see a dime of it. 343 makes all this money and the execs get to keep it; then they underpay their artists and designers by contracting them out to make these little easy projects, which they can justify paying the artist very little for, and selling them for absurd prices.
Thus, I feel that spending money to support that system is wrong, because the system is morally reprehensible. Sure it’s “their money” and they can spend it wherever they want, but if they spend it on something that we should all be boycotting than that’s wrong.
I love how they said they weren’t going to make spartans dance because the chief wouldn’t do that. Wearing cat ears on the other hand is something a spartan would do.
“The fight is lost” bro its just cosmetics, its goofy fun, this is the same community that had modes like the Fat Kid and Cops and Robbers, its not like the multiplayer was ever uber serious, now if we had a spartan ingame that followed chief around going “uwu” and stuff I could see the issues, but I think we are making a mountain out of a mole hill
