Well, I can gift them credits. Which can then be used to buy the cats ears. Or whatever honestly. Just spreading some goodwill for the holidays, drown out some of the toxicity. Might wait and gift Santa hats if they go to the store.

There are many games like titanfall 2 or TF2 that have different hitboxes and it is perfectly fine. Granted they are different types of games but it still works.
I genuinely donāt believe that having a slightly different hitbox of an elite would change anything.
Now if i was a brute insteadā¦ or a kig-yar, maybe that would have an inpact. But the sangheili in this game are very close

I think the cat ears are far far far FAR away from being the best cosmetic.
Iād actually call it the worst, itās shocking how many people would pay for it like at all.
I really donāt think any of the cosmetics affect hitboxes at all.

There were complains about sniping elites, in particular in the back of the head. I donāt care about the differences myself, but enough people did. If I remember correctly a lot of the MLG community did care, and there is significant overlap between the old MLG community and the HCS community 343 is listening to with regards to balancing. At the very least I imagine itās something theyād have to talk about.

the difference being this is new and not a legacy armor set that has been free in a previous halo title. monetization is fine, but they should keep it to new things like the cat ears for sh*ts and giggles.

This I remember the days where people were complaining about elites being in swat in halo 3 and how hard it was to headshot them
Nearly all of what you listed was either Easter eggs, outside the game, or an emblem.
When it comes to cosmetics that donāt suit the game they were traditionally never in your face all the time, and in the case of armors still stylized to fit the established aesthetic. MCCs medieval armor blatantly ignores that and is lazily ham fisted into the game.
Grunt birthday party is like 2 seconds of confetti and itās gone. Itās not that intrusive and easy to ignore like the pizza AR skin from Halo 5. While I personally donāt like either of those Iām not going to complaint about something thatās there and gone in an instant. Plus not many people use it in the first place.
In regards to car ears I donāt really care personally, but thatās probably, because weāve already been slammed with those awful MCC medieval armors.
Tone doesnāt translate accurately via text. No salt, or anything here, just my two cents on the matter.

The only problem I have with the cat ears, is that they are way too cheap. It would make me laugh even harder to see people who pay money for this crap.
Easy fix for these comp people, only in casual.
Also, the elites in Infinite stand upright and there is not much huncing overā¦.

I agree that would solve most issues. And Iām not saying it shouldnāt be done. If you read my earlier posts I want elites in Infinite. My point was that it would take more work than cat ears. Thatās all. A discussion about balancing may not take long, but they do have to consider more than when adding cat ears, donāt you think?

At least they work on all MKVII helmets , though i would have prefered wolf earsā¦ i suppose they can be either ,but yeah let them work with all cores the extra 5 bucks (total of 10) would facilitate that. (More sales 343i)
