I agree. Every halo player I knew back, casual or hardcore, had a story like this. Ofc it was never as epic as this, but in the mind of the teller, it was, and the light in the eyes when telling. It was the experience that united us, and I don’t see that passion anymore.

Especially when you read the description and find out the guy running the flag was a guest who never really played Halo. He probably had no idea what kind of ridiculous -Yoink- going was on behind him. He’s not even a “casual.”
Not that you competitive lot even have a cohesive definition of the word “casual”. It’s a catchall bogeyman term that means whatever’s convenient for your current complaint with a game. Y’all should get your collective heads together on that and agree on something.
