Casual or Competitive?

I’m just doing a poll on how much of the community at the moment is competitive, and how much is casual. Its crucial to something I’ll write later.

competitive. might I suggest making an actual “poll” to vote in?

I’d call myself competitive, but I sometimes stray into the casual realm of Halo. Mostly with custom games though. Whenever I hop into matchmaking, it’s for competitive play.

Poll added now.

Are there any casuals out there?

Competitive.

I’d say i’m competitive. I’m not super competitive but I hate losing, hate dying, hate going negative. I like being the best, and winning. Winning is great.

This poll is pretty one-sided. Considering casual players wouldn’t be posting on any gaming forum.

I like to play both, but if I absolutely HAVE to choose one over the other than I’d go with competitive. Reach was a casual game and there was no incentive to win. It wasn’t right…

Competitive.

Competitive

but I like both from time to time

why do we have to take sides? Why can’t Halo just have both, competitive and casual playlists then everybody is happy.

Why do we make threads like this one which split the community even more?

> Are there any casuals out there?

Casuals sometimes play competitively without noticing.

True story.

Me! A lot of people will say their competitive, but I doubt they actually are because some think that playing the MLG playlist makes them competitive, which it doesn’t.

No, by competitive, they play win, and out skill their opponent, you would associate anyone competitive would be pretty good at the game, and enjoys the more difficult playing atmosphere.

You don’t need to me an MLG die hard to be competitive, hint, it’s in the name “competitive”

I think there should be a scale 1-10 of how much effort you put into winning. That said, many ranked and social playlists were more appealing to competitive people.

Thanks for all the feedback so far.

I just wanted to see how competitive or casual the Waypoint community is. For those casuals out there, i just want you to make yourself heard. It’ll make sense when I post a topic later.

A bit of both really, I don’t really care about my rank or my true skill but I do care about winning and my K/D to some extent.

Competitive, I love winning and study my own gameplay to improve.

Thanks for your answers.

Many seem to want to vote both ways, so there’s a new poll: Here
