Castlewars and Husky Raid Griefing

In CW and HR, There’s some serious D-bags out there who hold the last point hostage and drag the game out. In the last match of HR I played we lost 3-0 and instead of ending the match a player waited 2+ minutes to score at the last possible second. Why? Who knows. what I do know is that Its Irritating. if you do this please stop, and if your teammate does this chew them out or something I’m trying to get to the next match, but I don’t want to get a quiter’s penalty. If you’re gonna win, just win already, Sheesh.

There are some teams notorious for wasting people’s time in HR. You can report them via a ticket on the halo support site if you like. Farming / not playing the objective is against the rules.

Holding the objective is not something that the Enforcement team will action on.

Good to know, thanks! What about spawn trapping / farming kills?

Players hold the flag as a way to drag the game out to enable them to get more kills. Wether that’s for commendations or just fun.
Is it annoying, yes. Unfortunately there’s not a lot to be done about it.

Farming by holding the flag isn’t really an exploit nor anything akin to betraying. It’s sort of like teabagging using the game clock.

thats annoying, I need to do this like each 3 games

<p>It’s kind of sad actually, things like this are the main reason I left Halo Reach for Halo 5 and started this grind. What makes it more painful is that I’m trying to finish my various commendations, but more often than not I get a crapy game like what’s been described. So bad that I have no interest in going back into those game modes. Between the game’s terrible algorithm for distributing weapons in a consistent manner (talking about husky raid btw), and the douchey players I’m constantly matched with, I hardly ever want to go into a CTF match anymore. I still do of course, as I’m trying to finish the last three CTF commendation. Is it annoying and painful?? Absolutely!!! Will 343, microsoft or any players ever do anything about it?? Nope… it’s not a concern to the relevant parties involved…

I think it should be along the same lines as idling. Even when it’s someone on my team doing it, it wastes time and is against the spirit of the game — it also makes the opposing players frustrated and isn’t good for the long term health of a playlist.

Teabagging doesn’t unnecessarily lengthen the game or pad stats.

It is the exact opposite of idling. If a team manages to corner another team in a CTF game to the point where they can wave a flag around in their base, they are good at the game or at least much better than the opposing team. Idling takes no effort at all and is the second scourge of online gaming. You can also look at this as trash talking. It’s not the most kosher thing to do during a match, but that doesn’t mean players should start receiving penalties for it.

Trash talking / teabagging don’t make the match linger on and pad stats…and usually people getting cornered are in a social match with uneven teams…so it’s not much show of skill either.

Then the problem lies with the matchmaking system not pairing people properly rather than with players playing the game how they want to.

I can agree with the matchmatching issues (and the small population that’s causing it to struggle), but it’s a fine line between playing how you want and ruining the experience for others. There’s a reason this doesn’t happen in live sports (a little thing called sportsmanship).

In wrestling, players are grouped by weight class, so fatties don’t crush scrawny dudes to death

They won’t take action against that either.
