Does anyone have any idea how long castle wars ctf is going to be part of the playlist? Just wondering how focused I need to be on it since it’s the easiest way to earn mongoose destroyer commendation.
I don’t know for certain. If anything, it’ll be removed when we get another Community Update. Until that happens, I suggest you start blowing up those stubborn Mongooses to kingdom come!

I am soooo pissed I cant play CTF in social arena anymore! I loved it and I don’t even want to play xbox anymore seeing as HALO is why I bought it in the first place. I got so addicted to CTF and now its gone. I probably wont purchase the xbox live anymore. CTF was there just yesterday for me and now its not, I literally got on almost everyday because of CTF. IM DONE!

Castle Wars is a rotational playlist. It’ll eventually return at some point in the future.

It’s the only game type that I don’t absolutely suck at. It’s hard to get started in this game.

Now don’t get me wrong, I totally get where you guys are coming from; Castle Wars is fun as hell and I love decimating entire crowds on my own. Hell, Killer Orca and Annyastasia absolutely adore the gamemode as much as all of us.
But if I had to be honest, it was hanging around for a bit too long for some, therefore it was necessary to keep things fresh by swapping it out with Extermination. I can’t speak on 343’s behalf, but I honestly would’ve done the same thing if I was in charge of the gamemode circulation, though I’d choose Triple Team instead since that hasn’t been around in ages.
For now, I’d say it’s best to be patient and try out other gamemodes and even make arrangements of meeting people from Waypoint in the games. It’s worked extremely well for me.

What, the Helioskrill helmet I’m wearing?
I don’t really care that someone “earns” the helmet through slot machine gambling. I played through all the campaigns of Halo MCC on Legendary solo for this thing. I think I’ve earned it far more than someone who went and threw money at the system, or grinded loot boxes for this thing.
EDIT: Oh, you’re talking about the Timmy. Yeah… There’s no corresponding armor set for it, and it’s just an EVA reskin, really. Is it really worth it? I think I’d rather just earn a bunch of RP or XP through Social.

Yeah but at least it’s something not in the packs. Granted it’s not hard to get and it’s not very good looking. I am working towards it just to get it.

I don’t think it’s accurate to call the Timmy helmet an EVA reskin. It actually looks like Timmy the whale. It even has fins and a tail

I usually group most of the helmets that have extremely large visors (or visors that take up well over half the face of the helmet) as EVA reskins. Timmy has a little less visor than other EVA-type helmets, but it still reminds me of EVA when I look at it.
