Does anyone else think the should make Castle Wars CTF a permenant addition to the slayer options?

They have started rolling out with it more frequently but this is such a simple concept game type with potential to get some nice accommodation/achievement points added to one’s S.C. Not to mention the game play is just fun. Everytime I log in and run across it I almost always choose to play it. I have noticed that unlike other game types (such as Breakout & Action Sack) there is almost always enough players for each match so I rarely get that all to familiar red screen that says “unable to join” because of searching for players. So why not make it a permenant addition. Right?

Please tell me I’m not alone on this

I’m not really a fan of castle wars, but I will say that there always seem to be matches of it in the customs browser, so you can find it there.

Yeah there’s almost always a super fiesta castle wars game going on in customs. Fun times until the opposing team starts camping right outside your entrance shield and keeps you from spawning at all.

I also made that recommendation, Castle Wars is very entertainment, I hope soon can be in the matchmaking playlists again.

For me, I play it once in a blue moon and even then I don’t find it fun. But to all you who do like it I wish you all the luck in getting it a perm option.

It was good for destroying mongeese.

Don’t find it enjoyable, myself, but I know a lot of people play it. I’m betting the population drops off toward the end of it’s rotations though.

This is probably true of a lot of the rotational playlists. As the novelty wears off, people begin going back to what they normally play.

If it does have a strong population then it should become permanent. Personally I don’'t like the game rotation thing because I feel like just as I get good or warm up to a game mode it just goes poof.

Also if it is going to be added permanently then spawn camping should be fixed like with a respawn safe zone with a no weapon thing. This way if you’re getting camped you can just run to the safe zone but it wouldn’t let you do anything but walk around so no opportunity to camp and recharge or reload.

I’ve only played it a handful of times. I wasn’t the biggest fan, but I know some people are. If it could be worked into Action Sack that could perhaps be a compromise, but I think Castle Wars is traditionally 8v8.

They should put my variant into matchmaking. Nothing is more satisfying than hitting your enemy with a “cannonball”

On a serious note, though - instead of rotational playlists, I’d much rather support a system similiar to the match composer from MCC. Give your community the option to play whatever they want, whenever they want.
