Castle... Please have a button

I dont know about you guys but I miss the days in halo where we had buttons on out maps making doors open and passages clear. This made the map dynamic allow The Gamee play to change completely. On CTF you would have only 3 door ways for the enemy to get in but then a random stranger would walk in a blind spot, press a button then you would have a warthog drive in out of no where with yoru flag gone with it.

This is why im hoping for buttons in castle

You can do similar things with Forge on custom maps using landmines behind shield doors to daisy chain explosives for switches to open things or using the dominion turrets merged behind walls to tip over a switch explosive to open a door in a trait zone with a gravity lift, but it’s not quite the same and can be quite hard to do right. Zanzibar/Containment/Relic/High Ground/Longshore etc were AWESOME for objectives since they had a secondary objective that made pulling a flag/planting a bomb/capping a territory/securing a hill/whatever that much easier or quicker. I honestly thought we’d see something like that for garage doors on Landfall, but I guess not. :frowning:

Zanzibar also had a button that allowed vehicles to enter the main base by lowering the road blocks

I miss that kind the interaction as well. Plase 343i, make it happen

…the gate switch was named Gary? hahahaha

Reminds me of how the tornado on the original Smash Bros Hyrule Castle stage is named “Frederic” to my friends. We’re at my buddy’s house and down to the last stock, his parents are nearby and are really strict fundamentalists (nothing necessarily wrong with that, but you can imagine how they’d react to kids swearing over a fighting game). I downspike him by the greenhouse back towards the middle with Falcon’s down air, he ricochets right into the tornado after trying to tech away from my side smash. Star KOs from the tornado flinging him up. Yells “FFFFF… (sees parents nearby)…REDERIC!” And thus the tornado is eternally Frederic.

They should take all the buttons from Spartan Ops and place them in matchmaking. :)7

IMO 343 needs to take out the button-pressing in their Spartan Ops maps and Campaign and put them in the multiplayer maps!

That kind of button-pressing was so amazing in past Halo’s. You probably couldn’t possibly know how much I miss them.

On IGN they said that there’s fusion coils on one map that you could shoot to kill people camping in a certain area.

So buttons in multiplayer is good, and buttons in Spartan Ops is bad. Got it. How did nobody come up with this before the game came out? I’m sure 343 would’ve put it into the game!

The Gates from Containment that let you drive into the enemy base :wink:

Those kind of Buttons I miss! Yes we need more interactive maps! But sadly I think Castle Map pack is the last map pack for Halo 4. Anyone know otherwise?

After playing both campaign and Spartan Ops I sincerely hope I never have to hit another button again for the rest of my life.

Just kidding, well not really. The button pressing in those were tedious and unnecessary but interactivity in the multiplayer maps is always welcome.

Come on, guys. Button-pressing in Spartan Ops isn’t that bad.

Personally I love pressing the buttons so much and seeing the button-press animation that I practically race the other members of Fireteam Crimson to them.
