But this game sure as hell is not, when ever i get into a vehicle all i see is endless plasma grenades and plasma pistols. It’s pretty sad and is why class shooters blow.

yeah, vehicle combat is pretty broken in H4, and the new maps don’t help
i just hope that 343i directly addresses the problem soon

-Battlefield
-Team Fortress 2
-Borderlands
-SW Battlefront II
I’ve always thought the listed class shooters were pretty fun
jus’ sayin’
I agree. The availability of plasma pistols and plasma grenades in loadouts has severely affected the vehicle dynamic in the game.
I’m currently trying to splatter 5 people on a Castle map and keep getting plasma pistoled or stuck

Hey guys sorry to interrupt but I post videos on youtube and was wondering if you wanted to check them out, here’s my channel http://www.youtube.com/user/MrDanboy55667?feature=mhee
Well the vehicles in H4 are limited and a little nerfed, but I don’t think they’re beyond saving. Give the hogs a durability buff against grenades and you got a winner IMO. The EMP part is okay by me… how else am I going to take down that rocket hog that is absolutely shredding my team?
As for Castle, I’ve already had a few road hog style sprees, so that bodes well. Overall I’d say they’re excellent vehicle maps without ruining the foot combat. I say these maps are asymmetric but play like arenas.
The hogs on Perdition actually seem useful, but I see that more as the exception that proves the rule.
What’s funny is, while stating these maps are supposed to be vehicle friendly, they actually created ideal environments for infantry to fight vehicles. With little room to maneuver and map geometry creating predictable driving paths, vehicles are really easy to take down on these maps.
I can see how someone who’s unfamiliar with the game might look at these environments and expect them to work for vehicles, but they actually don’t.

I LOVE halo 4 with all my heart man, butI agree with you about the vehicles no longer being the hunters, they are the hunted.
But here’s the thing man, if you want to make a change about this situation, you need to do it in a more respectful manner, not with the highlighted text above. You didn’t have to add that part ripping on Halo 4 like that.
Other then that, I think plasma nades should be eliminated from loadouts in halo 5, and just frags. Plasmapheresis should be considered power weapons in my opinion.
I completely agree. I don’t really use vehicles in Halo 4. Those Castle Map Pack achievements reminded me why. Plasma Grenades and Plasma Pistols completely do away with any vehicle fun. That’s a real shame.
The problem isn’t people spawning with Plasma Pistols and Grenades.
The problem is that players spawn with two plasma grenades when it should be one. Also vehicles need more armor, right now its a little weak.
Plasma Grenades needed to kill a vehicle should be:
Mongoose 2
Ghost 2
Warthog 3
Banshee 3
Mantis (unshielded) 3
Tank 4
Wraith 4
The problem isn’t entirely based on loadouts. It’s the ability to select our Secondary weapons and our Grenades that makes it so.
If they looked at GoW, instead of Modern shooters, we wouldn’t have this issue in loadouts.

If the grenade lands on the player or if his shields are low, sure. On the vehicle, no. They get trashed up from Primary weapons, especially the DMR. Add a bigger body, meaning more chances to get stuck, and you got a floating or rolling scrap metal in the making.
I want to go use the vehicle, not avoid them. It’s part of what made Halo’s BTB fun.

I agree with this, it makes a lot of sense and would solve many things.
Players are neglecting the plasma pistol and going magnum. There are so many times I see a ghost and pull out my pistol thinking I can take it down, and realizing neither me or my teammates have a plasma pistol, we all use grenades (no stickies!) and careful use of corners to take it down. Definitely makes the game much more fun.
Loadouts kind of changed the way this game plays, and I’m putting my faith in 343 with this idea, but spawning with plasma pistols, boltshots, jetpacks, or DMR’s is what takes away from this experience.

Yeah, noticed alot more campers with any of these weapons. I’ve also noticed that every game, no matter which map, there’s always that one guy with the DMR and Boltshot, I hate that guy.

It’s already like that, except the Warthog takes 2.

Agreed, though I have to point out that Halo 4 isn’t a class-based shooter. It is loadout-based.
