… yay … BTB …
BTB is fun… is very small doses… but in my opinion they need to fix a lot of issues first instead of just adding new maps even if they kinda remind me of halo 2 and reach looking maps.
> … yay … BTB …
Further cements the idea that Halo 4 was made purely for 6v6-8v8 gameplay, with the Majestic maps being something to pacify Halo players that don’t like BTB. Looks like they really don’t care.
The train one has a very Halo 2 feel to it, though I can’t really say why.
Let’s hope it is better than Crimson. One of them however half reminds me of a large Battle Creek, it has a banshee but it might be an Ascension sized map.

I did get a Terminal/Headlong feel from it, myself.

At least we have forge. It will have to suffice.
I mean, I like BTB vehicle stuff myself…
But pretending for a second that Majestic was built from the ground up to be smaller scale maps, and not some kind of knee jerk reaction by 343 to pacify that segment of the community who wanted smaller maps…
I think I would have released the maps differently. Like: 1 small, 1 med and 1 large map per release.
Or from the looks of things… My first release would have 1 from Crimson, 1 from Majestic, and 1 map from Castle as a package.
Where as the way it’s been done just makes me bang my head against the desk.
What was that uppercut move in the video?.. I haven’t seen that before, maybe I’m late to the party, again…

Oddball assassination.

Reminds me of Half-life!
The grassy one is the only one that you get a decent birds eye view of and that one looked smaller than complex to me. I’m thinking this one is going to be more harvest/complex sized maps. The only problem is they don’t have any playlists or gametypes that suit those maps too well… Which is a pretty big problem.

I get that they are trying to make map packs to satisfy an entire group at once.
But it all boils down to giving the shaft to players who don’t like BTB. I get 3/9 DLC maps, with 4/10 on-disk maps to play.
It’s actually a joke. 343 just completely removed everything they could from traditional Halo, I suppose.

3 new maps 1 reminds players of Half-life?
Half-Life 3 confirmed
If the game is made around BTB, why does BTB suck?
We aren’t getting what we want either. I want more useful vehicles, not more maps that I will never play because vehicle combat is dead in this game.
Though I will say those maps look beautiful.

It pisses me off people spout ignorant comments like that, and get those comments thumbed up. No one asked for more big maps. How many -Yoinking!- strawman arguments are people going to fall back on…
If only we had a non-Infinity BTB playlist…
Why can’t we have BTB objective? Just why? They should just cut to the chase and make the playlist BTB. No point in watering down the maps for 6v6.

That’s pretty much why I’m addressing.
It makes as much sense to have an entire map pack devoted to large maps as it does to have an entire release dedicated to small maps.
That is, it makes no sense at all.
I wish I could say I was frustrated with their philosophy, except I don’t know that there actually is any kind of philosophy going on here.
So in 3 weeks we get what? another DLC playlist? We’ll have what? Another 3-4 playlists supporting what? 30k people?
so
