Castle- A Community Poll

So, from what I have heard so far Castle is pretty good. What do you think?

Very good.

I would say the maps are on par with majestic, just a larger scale. However I have only played on outcast once.

they are not Halo 2 maps by any means though.

Fun.

Now, if only vehicle combat wasn’t so butchered in Halo 4…

I don’t love them, but I agree that vehicle combat has been butchered.

I’m between Love It Completely and Pretty Good. I think they’re excellent, but I don’t love them completely. Vehicle combat is really broken because of Stickies and Plasma Pistols. I think I would love the maps if this were fixed.

I think it’s pretty good but it still has flaws. I like perdition and outcast but I feel like daybreak is very unbalanced. one side of it (I believe it is red team) is given a big advantage over the other. One side of the map has a man cannon that takes them to the bridge (cant think of a better word for it) in the middle of the map. On this bridge, the team also has a large shield that protects from players shooting from the other base. The other team’s base has a path way that leads up to the bridge and a tree for cover. This is not that big of a problem in slayer games however, in games like king of the hill and capture the flag, it can greatly affect the outcome of a game.

I am also annoyed by the gametypes in the castle dlc playlist. There is rarely any slayer games to vote for (and when slayer does show up, nearly everyone votes for it) and I am mostly just seeing oddball, swat, capture the flag, and king of the hill. I would prefer that swat and oddball be removed from the playlist and keep CTF, KOTH, and slayer.

The achievements are much less annoying than ones from the other map packs. I like the achievement where you need to disentegrate 6 enemies with forerunner guns, but the annoying part about it is that forerunner guns rarely ever show up on the maps and don’t spawn as ordnance at the start of a game in any map. The other achievement that I don’t like is the one where we need to assassinate a player who is using a hardlight shield. I dislike any sort of achievement that requires another player to be doing something specific (in this case, using the hardlight shield) so that you can get the achievement. I rarely ever play a game with someone who is using a hardlight shield so this means that there are going to be games where there is a no chance at all to earn it.

However, other than those things, I liked the map pack very much.

Liked majestic better but I still like. I don’t do well on Perdition for some reason but is it me or are the maps on 3 and even reach better? I mean, there is no verticality in these maps there all one or two levels deep with obstacles. I just really liked the multi-tiered maps of 3’s tower one (sorry I’m bad with names) and even sword base on reach were your going up and down and different battles would occur on different levels again maybe it’s just me but there’s no there there although their good I just want some more individuality and color schemes its all grey and red or blue or tan brown contours with exception of vortex is the closest we get to purply covenant type map… anyway sorry to be a downer but not feelin’ it just yet
