I’m not joking.
I think the vibrant colors with simplistic geometry will make the multiplayer arena easy to understand visually. This could be good for esports, streaming, and the average gamer’s play experience.
If anybody is interested, i can explain my thoughts further in this thread. I’d be happy to hear if others agree/disagree too, just try to be constructive.
While I agree with you, for a campaign showcase you would expect better, more detailed graphics than multiplayer.
Completely agree. I love the brighter colour of the Spartans on the maps.
Halo started to get a bit dustier and dimmer around Reach. Halo 3 was my favourite visually, so bright and colourful online.
Halo 5 is a bit too realistic and chrome for me. The Spartans don’t “pop”.

That makes sense too. Some elements could use tuning, in my opinion. Hopefully, they still have time to listen to the community and make adjustments to the most necessary issues before release. I wouldn’t want a major art overhaul though, i think they’re close to the mark.
the artstyle is good, but the low texture detail, lack of specularity and other layers, blob like explosions and plasma, the low quality lighting and lacking shadows are not. the saturation may be a little high, but not necessarily so.
I agree. Besides, Halo has always been “cartoony” until Reach onwards and people have been complain wanting the old art style back. Now we have it and they don’t want it? I’m so confused. I guess I’m in the minority, but I’m pretty happy with the graphics.
