I may not be the first to ask this question, but how does one get that stubborn skull just above the control room area? I’ve tried grenade jumping, and I even resorted to driving a warthog in there! It’s driving me crazy!

I spent somewhere between half an hour to an hour trying to grenade jump. I gave up, picked up an overshield, and used a rocket launcher to get up. Got it my first try with the rocket launcher.

If you need any help getting the skull, I’ll gladly help you get it on co-op. My GT is: Jester O7 (that’s the letter “o”, not the number zero.)

You could try this:

  1. Get an overshield
  2. Rocket Launcher
  3. Get to a platform (Doesn’t matter which one) in the security room
  4. Jump towards the platform where the skull is
  5. Fire a rocket at the platform you just jumped off, you have to be quick too
  6. Make sure your crouching during the jump
  7. Make sure you have remastered graphics because in classic, it’s dark
    Takes a few tries if your not used to using an explosive to increase your jump height.

There are more skulls than levels, so some levels might have more skulls. Which cartographer skull are you talking about, Famine or another one?

ya i no its f-ing impossible and so is the other skull that you hafta grenade jump to get (forget wat level its on :P) anyways if you want somehelp just go search it up on youtube thats wat iv done for prwetty much all the halo skulls…

The way I got it was actually really fun. I lured one of the hunters back to the room and got him to push me up there. Took a while but was definetly worth it.

I did it with a second controller. Once I had my main account in position to attempt the grenade jump, I triggered a checkpoint with my other controller. As I failed the jump, I just suicided with my other account to restart already in position to try the jump again. It took me probably 20 minutes of trying, but having that second controller really saved me a lot of time.

Yup. Get overshield and the rawkitlauncher. Jump backwards and shoot at the ground and get up on the part. Confusing at first, but easy when you got the tools.

The best way is jumping off the warthog, may seem tedious getting that warthog down there but its a lot easier then other methods.

Now I wish I had thought to pick up an overshield when I got this skull with a grenade jump. It would have saved me some time.

Crouch jump into the window by the skull, move out as far as you can without falling off, then melee player 2 in the back until he spawns on top of you, bam, skull.

Took me days to get it and multiple methods, but I suggest using a warthog. Get the warthogs butt in there, then get on it, over-shield, and grenade jump, got it on my first try! You said you already did this, but you have to persevere.

Took me about 90 minutes to finally get a grenade jump that was high enough and had some distance. Worth the effort though. The rest of the game is tons of fun with this skull and grunt funeral turned on. Chain reactions galore!

Took me a half hour of using frag grenades and 2 seconds of using a plasma grenade.

wow this skull is a pain in the yoink! as well as the other one u gotta grenade jump to (i think its on the nxt level) anybody got any tips for that one?
