In the article Ign posted yesterday about the oddball and griff ball game types the author references the fact that he is worried about carrying the oddball and the magnum at the same time since oddball is typically played in close quarter maps. However in the oddball pax panel demo the players were seen to carry the oddball without any other weapon. Is Ign mis-informed or has it been confirmed that the oddball carrier will also carry a magnum like in the new ctf mode?
I think having the ability to pass the Oddball makes up for the reason to have a Magnum.

I agree. Is there any information confirming ign is wrong about this?
I kind of like this new idea to pass the oddball because if you were stuck in a mid quarter fight and your team mate is not near you, you can throw the ball instead of just getting killed and giving the enemy the ball.

Either they were misinformed, or just assuming that the other objectives would have sticky fingers like CTF.
Yeah I don’t think you get the magnum with the oddball or bomb you can throw it so there is no point, ign was misinformed again.

yea. that can really make some people mad when a game critic post info that is strictly their opinion or they were misinformed.
Though the new ball looks sick Its a head inside of a broken sphere. I wonder what preference it has to the story. or is it just something cool like the halo reach oddball.

Glad to hear that ign is likely wrong about carrying the magnum with the oddball. It really doesn’t make much sense to have a weapon while holding the objective AND be able to throw it. Ign fail.
