I think the idea is awesome. However, if you don’t have a pistol on you (or any one-handed weapon) you shouldn’t be able to do this. In a PAX video I saw a guy had a DMR and some forerunner SMG-type gun and then he all-of-a-sudden had a pistol when he picked up the flag. It should be beneficial to still have your small secondary if you have the flag. People shouldn’t always have a pistol no matter what.
And yes I know this isn’t a final build, but just something I’d like to see changed.
well the pistol is activated when you pick up the flag. so when you drop thee flag or capture it your weapons are the same ones you had when you picked up the flag

The problem is, people equipped that specific secondary for a reason.

Ya see I dont really like that. For one if you have a plasma pistol you should hold that with the flag. And if you decided to use two rifles then u pick up the flag you shouldnt have anything in your hand because you chose to do that. It will make people decide if they want to keep their small arm weapons and let it pay off in a big way.

I had a thread explaining this yesterday, and I agree. You should only be able to use the flagnum if you have a magnum with you when picking up the flag.
You should also be allowed to do this with the other 2 secondaries. A plasma pistol would be cool as you would be better against vehicles, but not really effective with defending yourself from players. The boltshot would be interesting up close, but your ranged abilities would be impaired compared to that of the magnum.
Ya I completely agree. I feel like 343i may have done this just for the PAX event just to get this new addition out to the public. To let everyone see it and get a chance to run a flag with a legitimate chance for defense. I feel it will be changed for launch day.
