Yo doods. Just wanted to share my opinion on the req level required to use the Carbine, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.
So, I think the Carbine should be a loadout weapon. Just the normal Carbine, not the new ones. The Carbine is basically the BR, except sacrificing range for a better fire rate. So why should we have to pay 4 req levels to grab a Carbine? I’d much rather buy a BR if I had too. I love the Carbine, but 4 levels? Lawd knows that’s a waste. I’d rather pay for a DMR than a Carbine. If they just made if to where you can get the BR and Carbine at level 3, I think it’d be perfect. Than the Carbine would actually be used. So who else thinks the Carbine should be a loadout weapon?
I agree, the Carbine doesn’t seem to be superior to the BR or DMR so why not? At least make it just level 1 or something, 4 is too much.

I don’t understand why the Storm Rifle or Plasma Pistol aren’t loadout weapons.
Not exactly Power Weapons are they? Besides the n00b Combo of Plasma + Precision and EMPing vehicles, don’t really see any reason to have them as PWs.
This makes sense to me. I have never used a carbine REQ as I always have better things to use my req levels on. I also never use storm rifles, the regular needler or the regular boltshot - all could be loadout weapons at certain REQ levels if the SMG is in my opinion.

The Plasma Pistol shouldn’t, IMO, because vehicles are already vulnerable enough. If you get enough people to shoot at a tank with ARs they will kill it without even using a power weapon, and combine that with an unlimited Plasma Pistol…
Suppersor, plasma pistol, storm rifle and maybe the boltshot should be loadout weapons as well

But the BR easily out ranges it, and an SMG would easily take it down cq. I’d say it’s balanced.

It either needs to be a loadout or WAY lower on the req tier. It gets outgunned by the BR WAY too easily to be a level 4 req
And note, the Storm rifle is powerful enough to be considered a power weapon, and the Plasma pistol should NEVER be a loadout weapon, Halo 4’s awful BTB shows for that

That would make sense for the most part, although it does seem like the BR outclasses the Carbine.

Gods no, the fire rate is very rapid and you’d never have a chance to shoot back.

Well if Vale can use plasma pistols as a load out weapon why can’t we use covenant weaponry?
I agree, as should the boltshot and maybe the suppressor. These weapons just cannot be considered in the same league as a rocket launcher, sniper, or indeed a scattershot, and yet there they are, sharing the same blanket heading of “power weapon”.
