I am looking to start using any of this two weapons and I really wish to find a weapon that does well in mid and close range, in small maps I like to use the storm rifle with magnum, but in bigger maps I use the plasma pistol for vehicles and in primary weapons the battle rifle, I am not really good using this weapon for close range so I just wish to know if i should stick with the battle rifle and practice or use the carbine because i am looking in this two weapons for a good mid range and fair close range weapon or i should try the carbine.
If you can land shots well, the Carbine.
If your a little figity with the controller, Battle Rifle.

I prefer the Battle Rifle.
I like both of them, but I choose the carbine just 'cos I love the skinned version.
I’m more of a Carbine dude, but usually the Battle Rifle comes out on top. Nevertheless, both are excellent choices, and are suit for different situations.
I never use the Ammo perk unless in BTI, so I always have trouble picking up some of that extra Carbine ammo. If you roll with a DMR, you almost always never run out of ammo because you can just pick ammo off of dead guys.
Just use the DMR ; )
No but in all seriousness, the BR would be a better choice until you get better with the BR, and even then you’ll probably still need some practice with the Carbine : )
The Carbine, always, forever, is the loadout gun that requires the most skill to use properly, and is rewarding as -Yoink- when you manage to pull it properly.
Both are great weapons but I prefer the Carbine
br, the carbine is useless in cq maps, most of the time it ends up with me dying but still managed to drop my opponent’s shield

dmr is for noobs
i cant get the hang of the br, dont like it, maybe its the upwards recoil or the three burst, idk. just not my gun. ive got a mean carbine though
TBH I’d love it if the Carbine was better towards damage. I would use it a lot more. The BR is more of a go to weapon when it comes to cqc that or the LR. (Precision weapons only)

The CC is extremely difficult to use in a 1v1.
I think the Battle Rifle is a better weapon, but the Carbine is more fun to use and is more of a challenge…if not a handicap for the other team.
To me the Battle Rifle is more all-round than the Carbine.
The Battle Rifle would be really great if it had a single shot burst next to the three shot burst.
I like both, but I’ve been experimenting with the Carbine quite a lot in recent times.
The BR is a good weapon for mid-close range, and so is the Carbine if you can land all your shots and have a good trigger finger.
The Carbine is also great for picking off enemies with low shields or enemies in the middle of a battle. Brilliant support weapon.
Let’s see, carbine is precise over farther distances than BR, ties with DMR for kill time, and shoots faster than either, I use it over DMR of course I’m going to use it over BR.
If you have steady aim and quick trigger finger then carbine if your trigger finger is not so good or you don’t think your aim is quite up to scratch then BR.

Lol, no it does not. The Carbine actually has the slowest kill time of all the precision loadout weapons. The LightRifle has the fastest when scoped, but the DMR maintains a very quick kill time at all ranges.
