It is too strong close range and the aim assist is too high. There is no point using an assault rifle/storm rifle/suppressor when the carbine dominates close range. The bullet magnetism on the gun is ridiculous and it is breaking matchmaking. It needs to have more bloom and a shorter ROF. As of now, I cry myself to sleep after getting dominated by the carbine all day.
No offence, but are you smoking yam? The carbine is underpowered compared to that stupid DMR.

Carbine is fine IMO, from what I’ve seen, close-range automatics defeat Carbine at close-range. A steady barrage of shots to the head at mid-range will turn the outcome around.
I think that the bullet magnetism is pretty high for most weapons in this game LOL.

Dude, the BR destroys the Carbine.
5 shots > 6/7 shots
The BR also doesn’t require you to have depleted shields to kill, this saved me so many times it’s unreal.
The DMR needs a nerf, as I stated before.

You might want to check your aim then. Maybe the Carbine users you went up against have attacked you from behind and you simply could not turn around. You could have been double teamed in the match. You were probably weakened. Hell, they probably have been strafing and you couldn’t hit them. And lastly, you would have to suck or the player you went against was good, to die from the Carbine.
Many possibilities of what happened in those situations. There are plentiful more of how you’d go down to one.
