With a lot of people pissed off about the changes to CTF, what about the advances in Grifball? If we can spawn two “Grifballs” on a map, we could (in theory) create CTF but just use Grifball settings. We can drop the ball, pass the ball, and we might even be able to disable waypoints.
I’m not going to lie, if we can recreate classic CTF using Grifball settings and keep the ability to throw the ball around that could be epic and a great fix for CTF until they restore classic settings.
I’m kinda bummed out about griff not exploding, but I feel like throwing the ball is a welcome edition and the non-stop play will make it more tactical!
Somehow I always thought I could escape the explosion… I never did!
Can you designate one griffball to each team, though? Or require each griffball to be scored in a specific goal? (i.e. ball “1” can only be scored in goal “A” and ball “2” can only be scored in goal “B”)

Unfortunately I do not know yet. It will be one of the first things I try to do when I get the game. If you can set up two spawn points with their own respective capture zones we have Assault and a better alternative to CTF for the time being.
Now that you have brought this wonderful idea up, I am going to have to try to make this on day one to see if it’s possible. If it is, this could very well be amazing.

I know. I can just imagine using the new passing mechanic to toss the ball to a teammate across one of the main maps to create some hilarious scoring opportunities.
> I would assume that we can only spawn one ball, since Grifball only ever has one. I’m hoping I’m wrong though, otherwise we can’t recreate Assault.

Hopefully we can spawn two, if we can I can see this being very popular.
I’d play that you could call it ctf ball. One question though even if you can have 2 balls on the map, will we be able to change the weapons in a grifball gametype.

Yea, there are a few key settings that we don’t know the answers to yet. If we are lucky, we may have just stumbled upon the greatest game type ever.
I’d much rather use Grifball to recreate Assault (which is vice versa of what Halo 3 and Reach did). However, OP, this idea works too!.. Assuming we can adjust the options in Customs.
