So this image peaked my curiosity. In my opinion, it looks to be a cinematic. Notice that John has his weapon lowered, Fred is covering him, and that Kelly and Linda are watching the perimeter? It looks as if John is talking to the Elite. Perhaps one objective is to capture this Elite instead of just the typical kill so and so for x reason. I’m not sure what information this Elite could hold, perhaps something relating to what/where the Guardians are? Maybe this is when the Chief learns about the Guardians and decides to deviate from the UNSC/ONI in pursuit of some other mission. Thoughts?
This a spoiler…? I’m afraid to click the link lol. If it is, give a guy a spoiler alert hombre!!
Fixed. It’s not a necessarily spoiler from the Campaign or anything, just a screenshot featured in Game Informer’s June edition. There isn’t any context given about it, so nobody knows for sure what it is. If you’re going dark, I would recommend not going to the link.

Are those characters crouched very low or do they just look more chubby/stubby?
That Elite is massive.

Gotta love thunder-thighs, big feet, halo 3 elites. They look cool as -Yoink- when standing up straight and relaxed like shipmaster. (Also, imagine if Jul is turned good and you have a dlc with arbiter, shipmaster, jul, and another elite. The possibilities!)

You have to reach the rank of Marine, to create hyperlinks.

That’s certainly an interesting change, I did not know that
Thanks!
gulp
That’s a big dino.
Judging from the golden armor, the sharp pieces on the back, the extremely great helmet and the energy sword that looks like the prophets bane it could be the arbiter, but I could also be totally wrong…

The Energy Sword that the Elite is holding looks nothing like the Prophet’s Bane. The Prophet’s Bane is a lot fatter and less slim than the energy sword
Here’s a link to a Halo Follower page, Click on the picture at the top:

However, the armor does look a bit familiar to the armor that the Arbiter was wearing in the Halo 2 Anniversary Prologue and Epilogue cutscenes…

Really? To me it looks reminiscent of the Elite Officer Armor from Halo Reach (http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/_cb20100616215313/halo/images/archive/0/0b/20100821010107!HReach-_Officer_Sangheili.png)

It’s a Sangheili commander with an energy sword, not a high ranking Sangheili.

Still, why would John be talking to a Sangheili Commander? There’s no real incentive to take it prisoner, especially if it’s not a high rank.

Yeah, you’re right. The two armors look pretty much identical.

No problem
That is a Sangheili warrior, a higher rank than zealot. They were the highest ranking elite in halo 4
