Captain Cutters speech.

Anyone else shed a tear or find Captain Cutters speech truly inspiring? Sorry if this sounds a bit weird. But i honestly think Captain Cutter is a better leader then Captain Lasky, i would mention Del Rio but he doesn’t exist anymore (Thank the Arbiter).

Del Rio appeared in Hunt the Truth praising the Spartan IVs but condemning the Chief. Also Cutter is old school UNSC, they didn’t joke around even if it meant sacrificing the whole ship.

Ur not gonna like what I’m saying but I felt it was too sappy, but I’m not saying there was anything wrong with it, it’s just a feeling it gives me

I have missed the USA flag in the background flying in the wind. And european car brands transforming to villain roboters while all the US brands are always the good roboters.

Any political messages are completely random.

His new appearance still throws me off so seeing the speech from someone who looks different from the original cutter still throws me off

It’s a justified argument! I was surprised at the amount of people who ignored it, while Master Chief still got the sharp end of the community’s sword when he came out with a completely new design.
I personally love the new Cutter, and forever hold the actor in my favorites just because of this speech!
However, they changed the design, and it does lose some points with that, less than the new Halo because they didn’t change everything, but it’s nonetheless an unneeded change, and this forum is why ‘unneeded’ isn’t always terrible.

Even though it sucks most of the time

If there are three speeches in video games I can say are truly moving, Cutter’s in Halo Wars 2 was definitely number three but still very powerful and moving. Giving a speech to men and women who were lost with all hands for twenty-eight years. Most would want to see family in that period of time. But they are moved by the Captain’s words. My second is from Chairman Prescott in Gears of War 2 during the beginning when the COG are gearing up, (hehe), for the assault on Landown/Jacinto, (been a while since I played the game bare with me). My first is in Halo 3 with Lord Hood talking about risking everything to defend humanity against the Covenant when he, Miranda, Spark, Shipmaster, Arby ‘n’ the Chief are all listening to Cortana’s message.

Aw but Del Rio was great! Still think he was fair to doubt the old Spartan with his breaking AI companion who is waaay past her expiry date!

Yeah, but I fully support Parangosky or Serin, or Lord Hood, or whoever made Del Rio disappear. When a war hero who saved the entire human race three separate times up to that point says there’s a problem, you ask where it is, and what’s the quickest way to kill it.

I thought he needed to be atop his elephant from halo wars 1. That would have made it 100% more epic

It was definitely well put together.
