After seeing the trailer and some of the Beta I have to wonder his age. How does he look younger then in the original? It’s odd. The Brutes though look epic!

Captain James Cutter was born June 12th, 2479. This makes him Age 52 during Halo War 1 in 2531, while the Spartans by the way were 19. Aging is reduced in cryo sleep, but after thirty years they still must have aged a little bit. I would guess that physically Cutter is in his Sixties, but mentally he is still 52, and the Spartan-II’s aboard the Spirit of Fire are still 19.
Dude just looks much younger then in the original. In the trailer is says CUTTER on his unform so that’s our guy. And you will see in the BETA he is the only UNSC commander to play as.
He has either been preserved through Cryo Sleep or it is a relative of Captain Cutter. Also he may be an AI Construct since this game takes pace after Halo 5.
He should be in his 50s but they’ve made him look younger in the trailer so I’m not sure now.
Anyone really off putted by the actor change for him? The voice just doesnt bring that respect and authority from the first halo wars.
Yeah I am for sure! He was a real Bad @$$ military grandpa in the first Halo Wars.
Not a fan of the new younger look or the voice change. The original was awesome and someone I believe could be a commander. The current one sounds too young and doesn’t look like he has enough experience. I really hope the at least the voice actor is a placeholder but I doubt it.

Same. But it sounds like the multiplayer Spartans voice actor so maybe it’s a fill in? I really hope so, I was so put off by cutters’ new voice

Yeah, a little. I was expecting a similar look/voice to the first game.
Captain Cutter looked and sounded like the boss in HW, now not so much. I don’t like the changes to him.

I agree completely. He just seems like a completely different character now, since he looks and sounds so completely different from he did in the first game. When I first watched the trailer, and opened the Beta, I had no idea who he was until he said his name. I don’t like it.
I believe this to be only the begin of the 343i screws up to Halo Wars… Already disappointed with the same simple bases, and 30 unit population as with the original. I was hoping for more of a true RTS, not HW 1.5

if they dont bring back the OG VA, im gonna hate this game(among other changes),this VA is not the one for the job
He should not look or sound any different then the first game. He’s been in cryogenic-sleep the whole time as we are lead to believe. Wtf 343i?

No it’s 343i turning Halo to a turd. Changing things that don’t need to be changed.
In the trailer, you can definitely tell he’s aged, but I had no idea about age-reduction in cryo sleep, that’s actually very interesting.
But yeah, he grizzled and experienced, for sure. LOL
