I’ve been a Halo player since the very first one came out. I am starting to get disappointed. I LOVE Halo 5. I love Warzone, Arena, the gameplay, etc…BUT I hate restrictions forced upon us by these little amount of game modes! Halo 5 has been out for what? 3 months? I’m already bored. I want to play Team Arena so bad to play things like Strongholds and CTF, but instead I get nonstop Arena Breakout, which is awful by the way. Then, I read the notes for the January update, and it completely excludes new game modes. WHY!? This game is good and fun, but the devs have to realize that the game will become stale for EVERYONE if they can’t play what they want to. I mean the Halo 2 multiplayer had more content than this. Why is that? I just don’t get it. If I want to wake up and play Strongholds one day, then why TF do I have to get in a playlist where I might see Strongholds 25% of the time? If 343i doesn’t start adding more playlists soon, they will lose one of their more dedicated customers. I don’t even mind spending money on REQ packs. Halo has seen a lot of money spent from me, and I feel like I’m going to have to move on. If they keep giving us one playlist a month, and then take it away, like they did for December (Holiday Doubles), I’m going to have to sell the game, because there’s no reason to waste my time on it. Before anyone posts with a snarky comment, remember how much money we’ve spent and that we deserve more game modes than this, ie :
Doubles
Oddball
Grifball
King of the Hill
Infection
Strongholds Playlist
CTF Playlist
Etc…
Please 343, add some more dang game modes.

Hey man you speak out of my Soul. I love objective game types too but what the hell am I going to Play? there is only Team Arena for me as an Option, and i get slayer and breakout every time. how can you be so deaf and put game modes in there that already have separate playlists??
And all the game modes you mentioned, well i miss them as hell but this great Studio just decided to cut it. well ok…
I tell you 343 if that january update is a joke again i sell my copy and dont come back to halo 5 again.

Same. I LOVE objective based game modes, and we really get slighted on it for some reason. I can handle Slayer (although I see where you’re coming from), but Arena Breakout is awful and takes no skill. Regular Breakout is better, but in Arena Breakout whoever touches the flag first wins basically. It’s just so annoying that if I have a craving to play a game mode, I literally can’t. There was a day I wanted to play Strongholds so bad that I played Team Arena for 2 hours, and BTB for another hour and played Strongholds just twice…How is it that if I actually WANT to play this game, which I paid for, that I basically can’t because 343i put restrictions on it? I agree man, I’m probably going to have to sell it.

I applaud you for such a unique thread. I’m surprised no one has made a thread like this yet!
I agree, I would like to see some new modes especially when most have come to expect some like king of the hill, grifball, infection etc. at launch. That being said I do enjoy the monthly update and getting to try something new every month, I’m sure they’ll keep adding to the game based on feedback eh. I suppose we’ll have to wait till June for all the content to be out to judge how the game looks completely finished.

yeah, i sucks at the moment. however, i recently picked the game back up, so i haven’t really experienced too much of this.

I also REALLY enjoy the updates. They are the only thing still grasping players. When BTB came it was so awesome. But with that said, game modes would make it THAT much better, and would keep me from selling the game, ESPECIALLY when those should be launch game modes for ANY Halo game.

I haven’t played since the 1st of January. I keep getting upset with the lack of content, so I have to set it down for awhile.

I was under the assumption that the games each have their own development processes, conducted by not only evolving studios but in some cases entirely different studios altogether. If only I had known the golden rule of development is to make sure every iteration includes everything from the prior iteration…

Halo 2 had like 3x the content of this game, and we are already 3 months in. The community does not complain as much as you think. The community is not vocal enough. We pay for the game, we pay for the REQ packs without any thought towards actual game content. If we keep buying their product then who is telling them to change? The money they are receiving is telling them that they are headed the right direction when they aren’t. No Halo game should ever drop with 5 game modes and exclude popular games that have been around for 10 years. It’s just dumb. Devs are doing this now. Look at Battlefront. The original ones from 10 years ago have literally 10x the content. Every year we get lesser content, and the prices just keep going up, because we are feeding this money-hungry, greedy industry. They have figured out, that for half the work they can double their profits. How is that the communities fault? This game should’ve been dropped with these game modes and then improve and update from there…

Ah, the old “games from a decade ago had like a thousand times the content!” Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
Complain all you want. Dollars talk. Let yours talk. I thoroughly enjoy the game, and the improvements it’s made over previous Halos, and my spending and playing habits support that opinion. We’ll see in 3 years when Halo 6 comes out whose dollar spoke more.
