I have no clue what Halo 4 is gonna play like. I have no idea what 343i’s final product is going to be… And neither do any of you whom are bashing Halo 4 and 343i. Please just calm down and wait for more info (or even the finished product) to place your bias judgement.

Agreed. I have faith in 343 for them to take care of the Halo franchise. If they mess up, then I will not be a fan of these guys as they have ruined the Halo experience that we all know and love.
Exactly. If they -Yoink- the game up then I’ll bash them and Halo 4 but not until then. It’s a little premature to judge a game that’s still being developed. I think that 343i will do a great job being that I enjoy their Halo Reach Map Packs and Anniversary. But again I’m not going to judge the game until it comes out.

P.s. Your post is kind of pointless in my option - although I agree most people are overreacting from the 20 seconds of video we saw.
This kind of hysteria was to be expected. 343i shows us a glimpse of the game and then they tell a bunch of journalists little nuggets of information and then they go silent.

I feel that most of the discontent is rather justified.
Just as starwars fans are ‘disappointed’ with george lucas and his constant Yoinking! on that universe, fans of halo are going to be ‘disappointed’ with 343’s decisions that go against the styles and gameplay of traditional halo games.
Frankly, I believe halo is lucky to have at least part of a community that still cares so much about what halo really means as to post their feelings for its caretakers to observe and maybe even take note.
I hope that the lack of calming down continues, for if such a thing happened then halo would have a community that would no different than a flock of sheep. Always content with whatever happens. THAT is not what real fans do, and that is not what halo deserves.
Halo deserves to have caretakers that NEVER forget the franchises roots and fans that NEVER let them forget what that means.
And to clarify my thoughts; Evolution of the series is fine and necessary for every halo game that comes out. It is not necessary, however, for said evolution to destroy/mutilate or discard traditional gameplay elements and aspects. Nor is it a good idea to pair off any new evolutions against traditional styles; I do not believe dividing the community as has been done with reach is a good idea.
