Ever since i started using halo forums, be that Bungie or here, i have seen people bickering about how terrible upcoming Halo games will be. I will admit, halo reach was a bit of a let down, forge made up for that! I grew up playing Halo, i don’t like seeing people all “Halo 4 will suck because blah blah blah!” I want us all to stop fighting about the games and stop saying why Halo sucks, because it is the best game i have ever played.
On a different note, which Halo game do you play the most?
I don’t and never will find losing to someone who is much worse than me just because they have superior perks “fun”.
Likewise, destroying kids only to have them run away to safety isn’t “fun” either.
I have high hopes for Halo 4. I was disappointed in Reach, but it wasn’t that bad. I still mostly play Halo 2, but that’s because my third Xbox 360 got the RRoD.
The bickering won’t ever stop. As for perks, I have no idea what 343 is doing with them so I won’t make an opinion until I know more about it/see it for myself
Do not let the mistakes of Halo: Reach put your hopes down. That was Bungie’s mistake not 343i’s. Halo 4 will be amazing because it will learn from those mistakes and continue the greatness that Halo 2 and 3 had.
i play reach and halo 3 every few weeks …
i would play reach… if i knew where i put it…
I don’t find Halo games fun any more because once you’re done herp derping in campaign, firefight and forge there’s only multiplayer left to mess with, as those things can only hold my interest for so long, and I’ll likely find it terrible if it was built for the “herp derp i shoot lazer gunz nd jetpack l0l!” type players rather than any actual competitive environment. I mean I don’t mind games that are like that but if I play a Halo game I expect to get some good gameplay in, not go into matchmaking and be faced with sprint campers on the other team and hurrrrrrdurrrrrr kids on my team due to overall bad gameplay mechanics and the lack of a decent skill based matchmaking system.
I’d go back to Halo 3 if I was able to get a game that had a connection above red bar, and definitely Halo 2 if it was still up on Xbox Live and had an active player base.
But to answer the OP’s question I try not to play any Halo game actively unless I’m invited by friends.
343 really doesn’t seem to know what they’re doing. The only info they put in their videos is about the art and the story. When it comes to multiplayer they’re lost so they’re just looking to the other popular games for guidance (CoD and BF3). It wouldn’t surprise me if you have to level up and unlock the rocket launcher in halo 4
