Is anyone else having trouble with the nightfall series? On halo channel it says “buy halo” in place of what I presume should be “play”. I’ve bought MCC and I’m loving it but nightfall looks really good 
I’ve got the very same issue.
If you bought the game on disc you need to redeem the code that were included to get access to Nightfall.
Same issue, digital purchase. Reinstalling doesn’t fix it.

Have you tried launching it through MCC under Extras? This is how I watch Nightfall 
Since MCC released, there are many issues like this "can’t watch NightFall who bought “Digital Media”.
Also some of u may bought the Xbox One with MCC package, including me, are the same situation.
Seems MS doesn’t like players who purchase on the net.
and hate who didn’t pay the appropriate price.

yeah it still says “buy halo” and then when I select that it takes me back to the extras screen in MCC. weird

bought the digital version mate. if amazon hadn’t have screwed me I’d have the physical copy.
Same problem in norway
I bought my game at a store and I was watching Nightfall and it cut out and said that the channel was down. When I came back on it wouldn’t let me watch Nightfall. Every time I clicked on the play it would take me to a totally different video. It did that for episode one and two. That really bugs me because I was 20 minutes into the first episode and want to know what is going on.
I have the same issue. Downloaded Halo channel before I got a physical copy of MCC. used code in MCC download Nightfall. Now in the buy Halo loop. Tried uninstalling Halo channel to no avail. Can’t use code again. I wish they would hurry up and sort this out. Seems like loads of people have the same problem.
This is making me insane… there is so much they got right with the MCC but come on! Could not play MP at launch so I thought I’d spend some time watching nightfall…

I’ve now played through every campaign on heroic, (which was fantastic!) - went back to check on MP…

I’ve been through every troubleshooting process I could find. I don’t know what else to do. I bought this game in large part to watch nightfall…
I entered the code, had same issue. I did a hard reset on the console. Settings -> Power and Startup (I think) -> and then restarted the console from there. Watching Episode 1 now.
