Cant watch Nightfall

Hi there,

unfortunately I cant watch Nightfall. The channel app keeps telling me that I have to buy the MCC. (Did that obviously)
Any workarounds yet?

I have the same problem. Halo channel says buy halo. I click that button and has MCC opens up. I navigate to extras and select play nightfall. Halo channel loads up and loop. Unable to watch Nightfall.

Same thing. I was able to get Nightfall to work this morning. Watched the first minute or so to check the quality and decided I would see it through tonight. When I logged on tonight, I am now getting the “Buy Halo” to watch button only instead of play. I tried reinstalling the Halo Channel. Did not work. I quit the apps and MCC game, and that did not work either.

I am having the same issue with the digital download from XBL. From the Halo Channel I find Nightfall, click on “Buy Halo”, it takes me to the game, I click Nightfall, and we start the loop over again. I bought the game right away specifically for this, and I find this to be a rather disappointing failure.

We believe this issue has been resolved. Can you all please try to watch Halo Nightfall again to determine if the issue has been resolved for you?

This issue has not been resolved. I bought the game through XBL, when I select nightfall from the “extras” tab in the MCC, I am sent to a Halo Channel screen that gives me the option to select “buy halo” or “details”. There is no “play” option. When I select “buy Halo”, it returns me to the the “extras” tab in MCC.

When I click on night fall it either plays break down of the maps or other videos on the halo channel, also does the same for when I am trying to watch the terminal videos. For me it does not say to buy the game like the people above are having but I got the hard copy of the game so it could be a digitail copy bug.

Yeah, it’s not resolved for me yet either. The terminals worked for me this morning but after I was back from class, they went back to redirecting me to the Halo Fest recap.

No resolution. Still stuck in the same loop. I have quit both the channel and the game, as well as rebooted my system.
I have to say, I do appreciate the fact that you guys are at least attempting to fix it and communicating in the forum.

Just tried again as well and problem is still not resolved. also had posted in another thread that have downloaded halo channel app on windows 8.1 and having same issue. No play button…only add to queue or buy halo.

OK, make sure you scanned the IRQ code from the 5 X 5 nightfall card out of your halo box. that is what fixed it for me. Always read the instructions before proceeding and blaming the manufacturer.

Nope, still looping. Are you still patching it? When can we expect to see a fix?
I think this problem is more prominent with digital downloads, btw (me included)

Digital doesn’t get any codes :frowning:

I have a suggestion for 343i: just for the moment, make Nightfall Episode 1 available to all. When you fix the issue, make it be for MCC owners only. Because the Channel doesn’t think we own MCC, and (as you can imagine) that’s pretty annoying. Yes, a handful of people will get a free watch, but those who deserve to see it will see it. And honestly, giving out a free episode 1 should only make people more interested to see the rest and buy the MCC, no?

Point is: I know you’re under a lot of stress at the moment, because this has been a messy launch all around, but when can we get a fix?

This loop is driving me nuts it needs patching soon I thought that’s called PRODUCT TESTING

I really wish I could be discussing the show right now rather than how it isn’t working :confused:

The loop is absoluteely the worst. It really is. I hope the fix will be part of the weekend update, because it’s really bumming me out that I can’t watch Nightfall. It’s one of the things I was really excited for in the MCC since I iwn all the games already (the onl really new experience is H2A).

Unfortunately nothing has changed except that the buttons changed to my lokal language instead of english. Btw, gramatically wrong. It should say “Halo kaufen” not “kaufen Halo”

Stop spreading your blasphemic logic here! Streaming a Pilot of a new series to a broad audience never has been successfull! My marketing 101 playbook from 1956 says it right here on page 12!
