NO, you -Yoink!-. Halo has said that the ONLY BR they care about is the Battle Rifle.
If Halo Infinite gets a Battle Royale (WHICH IS NOT THE ONLY WAY TO SURVIVE) it will get slammed for it.
Halo should not conform, and should make new strides and separate itself form the mass of FPS games, like it seems to be doing
as it did in the past.

Dude. They even said covid does not affect the development. There’s a F2P MP. You know what one of the most popular game modes currently is?
Keep in mind guys that Halo Infinite is a 10 year platform. Adding a Battle Royale wouldn’t ruin the game, it’d just bring in another player base. Plus, a Battle Royale mode would probably be the smartest way for 343 to handle microtransactions since we thankfully won’t be getting loot boxes/REQs. Honestly, I’d play it and if it was something added down the line I’d be cool with it. As long as the mode is done right then I think it would be extremely fun. Look at CoD as an example. It handles a Campaign, Multiplayer, Battle Royale, and Mission Mode all in one. This helps keep the player base enetertained and in one location so your not starving to find matches. I agree Halo needs to stay unique, but reaching out to bringing new players in isn’t a terrable idea. Honestly, as long as 343 listens to the community on Infinite’s base mechanics and asthetic then I think it’s necassary to cover as much ground as they can. I don’t know Halo 5’s player count, but MCC just barely has 8000 players on at any given time. For people who enjoy Battle Royales, it’d keep them coming back and keep the player base active. Especially when new content would pretty much be released about every two months.

They’ve confirmed that no BR games or modes are in development a lot more recently than 2 years ago. Nothing like this is being developed right now
Saying Infinite needs BR to survive, is like saying vegans need meat to live (i love cheeseburgers, don’t worry).
What i am saying is: It’s a lifestyle, and as such is not dependent on anything anyone else does. Sure battle royale is somewhat still popular, but it’s already a decaying genre and within a few years, it’ll become ‘‘just another genre’’. Fortnite, being the numoru uno BR game out there, has shown signs of lost population (looking aside from the whole iOS/android issue going on). PUBG has transformed into a half bot, half player game because of a decaying playerbase (their excuse is to make it easier to play) and Apex Legends already lost momentum.
Halo Infinite is gonna stay its own path, it won’t need a Battle Royale to survive anything because its own Multiplayer is going free-to-play anyways. Halo suffered in the past from following trends, it made it blend into the crowd and as such ensured it would not stand out as a unique, and different game. Halo Infinite will and has to rectify those mistakes.
there are already a lot of battle royale games out there, but there is potential for one. an idea I saw in a comment section was that you played as an odst and were dropped in with an odst pod onto a map, then battled it out to be the last one standing. i’m perfectly fine whether there is a battle royale or not, but it could attract new players to the game and also could be a new experience.
Very unlikely to be included. 343 has relayed that a battle Royale mode is something they don’t care about. Halo’s population has been declining since Reach as each subsequent game (including Reach) has adopted more features from other games rather than thinking of new and unique ideas. Following a trend that is over saturated with games, has a largely fickle player base (battle Royale fans tend to be very young and follow trends regardless of quality) and is declining in popularity (granted all of the data I found was a year or so old but apex and fortnite were declining in popularity. PUBG is filled with hackers and, anecdotally, I have not heard anything but negative feedback for updates in any battle Royale game for over a year) is a good way to fail.

> In order to survive this new era of gaming, halo is going to need to implement a battle royale mode. Battle Royale will save halo just like it saved COD. Honestly just the thought of a Halo Battle Royale makes me so hyped more than campaign or multiplayer. I can’t wait for Halo Infinite’s Battle Royale.
Just like Halo 4 needed sprint and loadouts when it was trendy back then.

Please no battle royale if they do add it have it as a downloadable DLC so I can keep it to where it does not take up space for something im not gonna play. Also please keep the classic BR and not the new rifle we saw in the demo.
Considering Infinite is supposed to be a 10 year platform I feel like it’s almost inevitable that a BR will be added at some point and I’m very excited to see what it would be like.

I agree. I don’t want them to abandon multiplayer, I just want an extra battle royale mode on the side because I know my friends that don’t play Halo would join me in playing it just because it’s a battle royale. It’s the most popular fps genre today for a reason, The majority of people like it, and I like it. It would actually help the Halo franchise more than it would harm it. People that go against the idea of a Halo battle royale are crabs in a bucket.
