i was in the process of moving and coming home from being in the service so in the last couple months i havent been on but when i finally get my xbox hooked up i cant talk to anyone on halo reach except trough my guest or if i start a party and invite ppl in. can anyone tell me why this is? i read something about mute banning but what for? i hadnt been on in months and i dont understand why it happened, nor have i recieved any messages. sure ive made a few comments in friendly competition but thats what halo is about. if i wanted to talk about your day then we can meet up at a coffee shop or something. also the game is rated “M” so the occassional slip of the f-bomb should be allowed. if i wanted to talk crap and be rude i would just send them a voice message or just give a quick -Yoink!-. lol can anyone tell me how i can get myself talking again on reach? or how to contact the inconsiderate people that would have me muted? and if you say its because of filed complaints i know ppl that file complaints against ppl all the time for no reason just cuz they were better then them and it pissed them off.
How can you tell you can’t talk to people? Do they all have the not allowed symbol next to their names, or does nobody have a microphone on your screen?
If it’s the former, your privacy settings are probably messed up on your profile (not messed up per-se, but you probably need to change them to allow people who aren’t on your friends list).
i figured it out. somehow in my voice and audio settings in halo it was changed from unmuted (default) to muted. thanks for the help though. i feel limited. lol
