4 rage quits in a row at 2 am and I’m typing this in a very bad mood…

So many bad matchups in halo 3. It is complete bs. As I said 4 rage quits in a row. All because of the overrated 1-50 ranking system. I have had so many bad matchups in my halo 3 career. All of you people that say “BRING BACK 1-50 IT WAS THE BEST RANKING SYSTEM HERP DERP” are ignoring the obvious…
Don’t give me that crap about how halo 3 does not have 100,000 people on anymore. Usually a FAIR matchup is doable, but most of my matchups (including on weekends-when halo 3 is the most populated) are nowhere near balanced. I’m no noob and I can hold my ground on my own just fine, but these matchups with generals/45s/50s/mlg pros/etc p***es me off. I can’t even enjoy my favorite game anymore.

And don’t get me started on those -Yoink- who make multiple accounts so they can progress through 1-50 all over again.

I CAN’T TAKE THIS.

Reach will match you up like that too. Even considering the fact it has 100 000 people on.

I just played a game on BTB Blood Gulch where 6 of my team and 3 of the other quit.

2v5. Not fair. We got owned. I did make their victory a little more costly, however ;D.

People like to pretend that Halo 3 never had bad matches ever because you could see the numbers working, lol. Funny thing is that H3 actually is tighter at matching you up, but its fatal flaw is that it promotes so much boosting and deranking that whilst the visible numbers may be within a reasonable range, the people behind them are not, and theres nothing the system can do about that. So many people dont get that fact.

Yes, straight up visible 1-50 is such a bad reward system, it promotes both boosting AND deranking at the same time. Thats how bad it is.

It has one indisputable advantage voer other system, and that 1-50 is so dead simple a 3 year old can understand it. Any additional complexity and eyes will start glazing over. I will always wonder if that is ultimately where Arena went wrong…
