Chief is not a pervert nor would he feel that way about Cortana.

I didn’t notice him gaze at her butt in any cinematic. I think his relationship is purely platonic, not being sexual in any way. Due to some alterations to his thyroid during the augmentations, it’s very possible that John is asexual.
