Cant switch account to play Infinite tech preview?

Asking for a buddy since he cant switch accounts when trying to log in. He used the wrong account previously and now it won’t let him back out and log into the right one any fix?

Sadly not. It’s unfortunate for your buddy but before the emails rolled out there have been several reminders for people to make sure their data is still accurate. Only the account that actually received the invitation can access the test build.

I’m afraid all your friend can do is make sure to use the right account for the flights yet to come - or maybe if he’s lucky he can try filing a ticket with support. No promises can be made in that regard, however, since - as already mentioned - reminders have gone out often beforehand.

Appreciate the help. Super unfortunate but what can you do.

Actually, I just figured it out and ill let everyone else know what we did to fix it.

  1. Go to the Halo infinite - Insider and right click it and go to properties. Go to local files and verify the integrity of game files.
  2. After it verifies go to the top right where it says steam. After that go to “web browser” and proceed to clear the cookies and cache and you should be able to attempt a new account login.

Ah I see he’s playing on PC. I just went by what information I had regarding the invitations being sent out.

trying to do this now but I can’t get it to work. it just signs me right back in on launch.

What do you mean by “top right where it says Steam” - Is this on Halo’s main menu or somewhere else?

He meant top left on Steam, but doesn’t work for me either
