Can't select new Specialization!

I’m stuck at SR 100, the game has glitched and I can’t choose a new Specialization.

I got the Limited Edition, and I noticed when I received my specialization code that all the other specializations that were locked disappeared and I was left with the ones I had completed and my current one Wetwork. So I decided to enter my code to see if it would fix it. It didn’t. So for now until its fixed I’m stuck at SR 100.

Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know how to fix the issue?

> So a step by step:
>
> 1. Go into System Settings > Storage > Games and Apps > Halo 4.
> 2. Delete the “Halo 4 Game Unlocks” file. This file includes any and all preorder DLC, LE/Console exclusive DLC, and the Specializations Priority Alpha DLC.
> 3. Redownload your LE DLC: “Infinity Actual Kit” and any other preorder DLC via Dashboard Settings > Account > Download History. DO NOT redownload Specialization Priority Alpha from your Download History.
> 4. Restart Halo 4 and let it check your DLC.
> 5. You should be able to see all your specializations again.

Okay, I had a bit of trouble but I managed to fix it. My method was as follows,

  1. Do EVERYTHING as stated above.
  2. Go into System Settings > Storage > Games and Apps > Halo 4.
  3. Delete the “Halo 4 Title Update” file. Don’t worry your about to redownload this.
  4. Go into System Settings > Storage then press Y on your Hard Drive or other storage device, wherever all your game saves are (usually your Xbox Hard Drive).
  5. Choose “Clear System Cache”, choose Yes. This will wipe all recent updates to all your games. Everytime you play a new game it will ask you to update, aside from the Title Updates to other games.
  6. Restart your Xbox.
  7. Restart Halo 4, you’ll be prompted with an update. It should be 30MB, (you’re redownloading the Title Update).
  8. Once that’s done let it check your DLC.
  9. At this point your specializations should have finally returned.

I was so happy when this worked for me. Hopefully it works for others.

Just re download the code.

This method is for Limited Edition people. It is possible to fix it for regular edition people if you instead redownload the Specializations Unlock from the code, instead of the Infinity Actual Kit using this method. However I don’t know for sure since I have Limited Edition.

with mine i had to redownload the infinity actual kit, i think its in account management > download history
