So I tried creating a custom game mode and named it “Hunter and Prey” I’ve been trying to save a copy of it for a couple weeks now. Everytime i try to save it I get a save error and I dont want to remake the settings everytime I want to play the gamemode so I’m a bit annoyed that it won’t let me save it. I’ve redownloaded the game reset my xbox even went to another xbox to try it but i still get the same save error. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong but if this is an issue i would like to get it fixed sometime soon.

I can’t save any edited or unedited version of infection. I’m happy I’m not the only one. Maybe there will be a solution to this after all.
Can you save other game modes or is it just infection? In my case the infection mode is the only one affected.
I have the same problem but it seems to be a recent problem so hopefully 343 fixes it soon.

do you guys have the disc or digital edition? as far as I can tell so far, it is a glitch with the disc edition only, could you guys confirm or deny that for me? me and my friends only had problems with the disc edition, my friends with digital can still save game modes.

I have digital only and it’s doing this to me as well. I’m super pissed with it too.
I can’t believe this is still a thing. I made a post on the halo support site 10 months ago! I’ve gotten three responses from bots, no real people. Every one of my friends have also run into this save error and they hardly even play halo 5. I just asked them to check and it happened to them too. This could literally be affecting every player and 343 wouldn’t even know because not many are specifically making infection modes and reporting the error. It’s a serious problem for the halo 5 forge and custom games community and they won’t do anything about it. I understand halo infinite and MCC are bigger priorities, but this issue is too widespread for them to just ignore it. Hopefully they’ll catch on at some point.
I looked in the search gamemodes tab to see if people have been able to save infection variants since the problem started and it does appear that people have been saving them every day including today. However, they all seem to be old variants that people are saving for their own use. I have not seen any evidence of new infection variants being saved.
I feel like, maybe, Halo 5 is considered dead. Let’s hope that they definitely care about fixing issues in the free to play Halo Infinite multiplayer…
