For the past few days I am unable to save forge maps by quick saving or saving as. I can’t save maps I’ve created or maps others have created. I had a friend save a map I was working on and successfully reloaded the map from his save. I have hard restarted my Xbox but the problem persists. Does anybody know of this error or what I could do?
I’ve been having the same issue the past few days, glad I’m not the only one. It’s extremely frustrating because I’ve been doing nothing but forge since the update last week, so not being able to save my own work gives me much less of a reason to play.
I have been having the same issue. I can not “Save map as” but it will allow me to quick save. Its buggy though because not everything saves when I quick save. err
Just had this happen to me. My first map saved just fine.
Started on a second map last night. Saved. Even saved as afterwards. Hopped on today to find that my second map is completely missing.

I believe I have found a solution to this, but before I get into it, I want to reiterate what happened to me.
While working on a breakout map with my friend, I wasn’t able to save with “save map” in his lobby, which I normally could before. After our forge session, I downloaded the map from his files and booted it up in forge to see if I could save a copy for myself, but I couldn’t. I hopped on some of my other maps I’ve been working on to see if I could save them, but I couldn’t. Finally, I checked to see if I could start a totally new map and save it with “save map as,” but I couldn’t even do that. I figured it was either an issue with the servers or a bug that could simply be fixed by restarting the game and/or the console, but I found that none of those were true. None of my other friends had encountered this before and it still wouldn’t work the next few days to come.
Eventually, I thought of deleting a bunch of my maps – I had enough variants of the co-forged breakout map and plenty other downloaded (after the problem persisted) maps from other players. I immediately got the idea that deleting those files (about 10) might have fixed this terrible issue, so I quickly tried to save a map on the breakout arena. It worked.
I’m still not entirely sure if this was happening because of the number of map variants I had, especially since I can still save maps after downloading even more maps than I originally had when the problem first occurred, but it’s still likely that it could have. I hope those of you who are affected by this can get it resolved somehow, whether that be getting rid of a few maps or from some other way, I was ecstatic when I finally got it all sorted out.

I’m thinking the servers are acting buggy. Is anyone else unable to save/quicksave their forge map?

I’ve had the same problem for 2 or 3 of my maps, I’d work on them and then I’d go to save (via quick save and the menu save options) but the ‘saving’ text doesn’t appear on the bottom left of the screen.
As Lil Black BUBBA stated, deleting previous maps does work to fix this. I tried by deleting one of my own map files and then I was able to save my work. I would have thought that reaching the maximum number of files would have prompted a popup saying so, but I guess not. Reaching the maximum number of map files is the only logical reason I can think of, however it would be nice to have some input from 343 as forge is my main occupation in halo and I’d really like to continue forging without losing my completed maps for good.
I don’t know how to fix it, but my problem is slightly different. Whenever I hit the save as or quick save button a message pops up saying “file share is full” yet I have no files in my file share. Please help if you can
