Hey guys,
I don’t know if any of you guys have noticed this yet, but I don’t think you’re able to save clips or full games in Theater… Unless the new interface is just still too foreign to me, the options aren’t there anymore. There was an option to “bookmark” a game but that only seemed to make it easier to find it while it was still in the temporary files, which is not saving it. Does anyone know if they plan on adding saving stuff back into the game? Also I’ve not noticed any file share options in the game (I know forge is not out yet, but this would still be important for customs and saved clips). I also saw no option to take pictures either.
Why have these things been cut?
Will they be making a return in an update, do you guys know?
How do you all feel about this?

I never messed with theater in MCC, so I don’t know. But yeah! So many little things seem to be absent. Things that were in Halo 4, but aren’t in 5. So they’ve done it before, it doesn’t make sense to me why they’d cut it… A lot of these little things add up to really help with the halo feel outside of the actual gameplay. YOU CANT EVEN LOOK AT YOUR MEDALS IN THE CARNAGE REPORT! Or at least I haven’t found a way to.

In MCC, you couldn’t save anything for viewing in the theatre.
Your last 10 matches are there to watch, and you can turn them into DVR clips. That was it.
You were reduced to having to watch saved clips in 240p through the horrendously slow DVR player.
Oh, and a lot of the clips had sound and video synch issues after being transferred to DVR, to boot.
they dropped it in-game because the xbone has upload studio with way more options. All you have to do is say xbox record that and put them together in upload studio. You can also do the same thing in theater mode if you wanted 3rd person views…I think once people get used to it it will be much better. It’s kind of pointless to have it in-game now.

They need to improve it beyond five minutes of recording at 720p/30fps.
It’s tied to the xbox video. Use upload, if you have kinect say xbox record that otherwise double tap the xbox button and hit x for a 25 second recording hit up to go through into apps all the way to upload. From there hit end clip here and pick how long you want it to be. You can trim it in upload studio.

Yeah, you use theater mode to to alter the hud/view and move the camera around. When you get it right you say “Xbox record that” or do whatever non-kinect users do to record. From there, you use Upload Studio for further editing.
I completely get why they did this, and if it frees up other resources to be spent elsewhere in the game, then cool, but I hate the lower resolution of Upload and I also haven’t figured out how to record longer than 30 second clips.
It seems to me 343 has dropped the ball on this halo. Bad spawns, clumsy controls, and no system coop. Congrats 343 on your steaming pile on what you call a halo. Nice try but if you can’t get this fixed please s3 it back to bugie. At least that way halo will not die like this.

You would like Bungie, which is now a company that built a Pay-to-win COD clone, back to make Halo? I’m sorry, but the Halo 3 Bungie is gone.
But on topic here, looks like you’re forced to use the XboxDVR thing. I know, it sucks the fun out of videos, because we get a 3:1 Buffer/Video ratio. XboxDVR is really a sad way to show off videos. They should fix it already. I can stream 720p videos on Youtube faster than a 240p XboxDVR clip
