My halo anniversary won’t play. It says it is unreadable but it’s brand new? Anyone having the same problem?

My disc install is messed up as well, don’t be a -Yoink-
recognized the disc in the dash saw that it was installed tried to play it
told me it was corrupt somehow and I needed to reinstall thanks for the extra security and shorter development time -Yoink!-
It can’t be the xbox because it plays every single other game I have. And it’s not just the disc because that’s the third copy I tried and it still won’t read it.
Probably a result of Microsoft’s rubbish anti-piracy mechanisms that punish legitimate buyers while being easily circumvented by pirates.
I don’t know why someone hasn’t sued Microsoft for this already, selling games that are not compatible with some older SKU’s is a massive fail on Microsoft’s part and they should be fined for it to ensure they protect and respect consumers rights in future.
What should I do?
I’ve had the same “Can’t read disc” error with most of the new games. For me I just kept trying to install to my hard drive and it eventually worked around the 2nd or 3rd try. I also sprayed some compressed air in the Xbox to make sure there wasn’t any dust build up. If you’ve already tried that, do you have the same problem with the games released in the last couple of months? Maybe it’s the new anti-piracy measures, maybe there is a new disc compression used on some titles, I guess your last option is to call support or keep an eye out for Black Friday deals on a new Xbox.
