So I recently got back on my Xbox and got the game pass trial and decided to play halo wars 2, I downloaded the full game and played the 1st mission but all it does it take me back to the tutorial screen when it’s done loading after the cut scene, I assumeed I hadn’t saved or something so I re did the whole first missonm mission again and same thing, it just ends the missons, plays the cut scene then cuts to loading screen and boom back at the tutorial select screen, I go to mission select and the 2nd mission is still locked, I got the achievement for doing the 1st mission so I know I have done, it’s Also not saving the game at all, no auto save or mabman save ability as when I got to load game it says no save file, what’s going on?
I literally just had the same exact issue step by step in line with yours. I bought mine yesterday. Completely confused. Anybody else have this issue or know what’s going on?
Had the same issue. Set the Xbox to offline and done the mission again. Worked fine after this.
What about if its on gamepass?
Anyone figure this issue out? Just started the game and had this happen, no access to the second level.
Just got the game myself, did the first mission,
and it loads back to the beginning. I was also experiencing a lot of lag through out as well. Not sure if plays a role in this bug, but this is very discouraging for someone who has rarely played Halo Wars and was actually starting to enjoy the game. This leaves me very frustrated because i had spent nearly an hour progressing through the mission and now I’m forced to go through it again like everything i did was a waste of time and money.
