Can't preload Halo MCC ready for PC release

As all of you people know, Halo MCC now has a release date and it has also been added to both Steam and Windows Store, although I seem to have a problem with downloading and installing it ready for release.

It seems to attempt to download both MCC app and Halo: Reach although it fails and gives an error code 0x803FB107 along with detailed info about the problem which is ‘One or more items in this bundle hasn’t been installed yet. We’ll keep trying. You can also try installing them from Downloads and updates’. I should imagine that you would need to have the MCC app installed first, although neither is actually installing and giving the same message.

I have tried everything from resetting the Windows stores using the ‘wsreset’ process to completely reinstalling Windows 10, with no success I might add. All other Windows store apps and games I have seem to download fine. I asked a friend about this and he suggested it could be that the files are either corrupted or just haven’t been allowed to be preloaded before release, but I should imagine Microsoft wouldn’t post a game on the store without making sure people could preload the game first.

Is anyone else having this issue or does anyone have suggestions on what could be causing the issue?

Same problem with me and I read somewhere that other people are experiencing it too. 343 please help

Im surprised that something like this has happened, what with all the testing and everything. But as long as they can have a fix out before the release date, I’ll be happy.

I been very confused by this. I only bought halo reach because it can be bought as a stand along game and the MCC. Is just a pack to pre order all of them

True, however as I have a Games pass for PC (not only for the MCC but for the Gears games as well) I thought what difference would it make as you still need the MCC app to run Halo: Reach and the other games in the future. That a bit off topic I know but if people are having the same issue no matter what way they went, then it could be a more serious problem.

I never had this problem with Gears 5.

Same here trying to install from the Windows Store using the Game pass Ultimate account using the latest build of Windows 10.

I have game pass too. only used my Microsoft rewards points to get gift cards to buy reach as a separate game since you can. I hope they fixe this before release

I heard it was a bug and the pre-install wasn’t supposed to be out. It’s been taken down from the game pass PC app. It will stay on the windows store app since it’s available for pre-order there, don’t know if they can remove the ability to pre-install or not.

Well I hope they release the files for preload before December. I would like to play some Halo Reach after a good days work.

where did you hear this information ?

It’s not taken down from the Xbox beta app. I’m getting the same problem and the error says “One or more items in this bundle didn’t install yet”. 0x803fb107.

It’s still on the game pass pc app. it still fails to install too. I get the same error when I try to install it.

While you can pre-order the game right now, pre-loading / pre-installing is not available just yet. It will become available closer to launch
