I can’t find a match since I’ve purchased the game a week ago. This is very frustrating and have tried many things to get this resolved, but nothing has worked.

I just played so it must be on your end. NAT settings open?
Anyone else on the network eating up the network?
Nat is open, no one is online at the moment, and it won’t place me into a game. When I try joining others game it says I’m running a different version of halo wars. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail.

Are you playing on Xbox or PC?
What version of Halo Wars does your client say you are running?
If you are running Xbox you can get the version by :
- pressing the menu button
- Going to the Games & apps tab which brings up the large tiles for your installed games
- Then moving the selection box over the Halo Wars 2 title
- and pressing and holding both bumpers and pressing the view button.
The Top line will have have Hogan_X.X.X.XXX_.64_8wekyb3d8bbwe. I am interested in the X.X.X.XXX numbers for this.
For the UWP version: (There are probably easier ways, but this works)
- run the game
- Bring up task manager by pressing control+alt+delete and selecting ‘Task Manager’
- Click the More details drop down arrow if you are not seeing a window with a bunch of tabs
- Select Details tab
- Look for haloWars2_WinAppDX12Final.exe
- Right click the above .exe and select ‘Open File Location’
- Look in the address bar at the location
You will see a location that includes Microsoft.HoganThreshold_X.X.XXXX.XX_x64__8wekyb3d8b3d8bbwe
I’m once again interested in the X_X_XXXX_XX value.
i have the same Problem and i can´t join in a squad with my Xbox One/Windows 10 friends 
(different Version) . I have 1.4.1936.2

Are you trying to join you friends cross platform? Halo Wars 2 does not support cross platform joining, only Play Anywhere, which allows you to migrate your save data.
In regards to not being able to connect to people playing on xbox while im on xbox though?

Are you experiencing this now? You should not be getting a version mismatch in the current release.
