Can't play matchmaking

Anyone else having trouble playing matchmaking? Last couple days when I’ve tried to play online I’ve been prompted with a “multiplayer required” message that says I need an Xbox Live account with multiplayer privileges enabled. Nothing has changed since I last played so not sure why I’m having trouble now.

For reference: playing on an Xbox One X, it’s set as my home console, haven’t signed in elsewhere.

Make sure there are no issue with your XBL account. One way to do that is to log in via a laptop to the account, you can also verify your preferences, etc. Another remedy may be a hard reset on the X.
