I’ve been playing this game since it came out and I swear to God it’s impossible for me to get better. Idk what it is but I’ve been stuck in Platinum for a YEAR. I do fantastically on other fps but on halo I’m ending games 5:15. And it’s not that halo is harder cause my friends that kick my butt in halo get wrecked by me in other shooters. I don’t understand what’s going on. Anyone have some insight to share?

Well first you need to determine why you are dying a lot. Are you rushing in too much? Do you have bad positioning ? Are you missing shots ? Halo is a different sort of shooter because of the longer time to kill. In other games you could go 2vs1 or even 3vs1 and be fine. Try to look over your gameplay and see where you are going wrong.
I think it’s missing shots…cause I’ve noticed in happy when it comes to the magnum I have to land 5/5 shots or 5/6 or I die. And for some reason 80% of my deaths happen because I get flanked or I end up caught directly in the middle of the enemy team.
5/15 does not sound very good for Platinum rank. I assume you are playing in a squad with your friends who are better than you so they may be bringing your w/l ratio up. Try ranking alone if you haven’t before and see what you get. It will be hard to get better at the game if you’re only ever playing against people better than you instead of at your skill level. If you work your way through a lower rank like gold first, you may do better in plat once you get there again.
I got to plat on my own. The issue comes when I play against diamond or plat 6. Or in pre ranked matches.

Well if your missing shots a lot your sensitivity might be too high. I saw you have a 34% accuracy in arena soo it’s probably too high and also developing a good strafe helps too. Try to stick with your team and learn spawns soo you will have an idea of where the enemy will be

This makes me feel better lol
Not all games are created equal. There could be many differences between those games and Halo, but it’s most likely do to faster kill times. Halo is pretty slow in that regard while some other shooters are almost insta deaths.
It seems like you need to first learn how many shots you have to land with every weapon. This is very important! I suggest you go to a custom game and try some stuff out. Experiment!
The other suggestions on here also seem to be on point… So far.
One thing I tell everyone is to play FFA. It will get you better and help you hone your individual skills. This way you can’t blame anyone, except yourself.
