Switched my GPU over to a 780 because I’ve sold my other one for a new GPU, and it can’t even start the game?? “The minimum requirements have not been met.”
343 said that this game has been made to run on practically the worst PC possible. Yet, it can’t run on a 780? Anyone know if this is just temporary?
They’re currently struggling to make a 980 work with it, i’m pretty sure 780 is off the table.

That’s pretty embarrassing tbh.

780 can run most games better than a 1050, just checked that their minimum requirements are a 1050 Ti. The 780 can run better than a 1050 Ti in most games, BF5, Apex, GTA, The Witcher even. They can’t say the game can run on older GPU’s and then do this -Yoink-.
I hate to be “that guy” but unfortunately this is just the reality of technology. Technically, if the proper time and resources were invested this game could function on a 760 just fine, but the reality of it is that the game is designed for consoles, namely next-gen consoles, and the Xbox One/old pc hardware are a secondary priority. As of now the game barely runs on 3080s due to poor pc optimization with most of their resources obviously going to the Xbox versions. If 343 are focusing on the Xbox consoles and struggling to support modern GPU architecture, that unfortunately leaves few resources to legacy pc hardware such as your 780. It’s not exclusively the company’s fault, this is just the nature of hardware advancements. Simply put, it’s time for an upgrade.

go check the steam minimum system requirement for halo infinite its gtx1050ti. you better upgrade that card if you want to play infinite
That card is 8 years old. This flight has troubles with a 980, maybe the whole game will be fine with it, but its a testing flight anyway.

This entire paragraph is false information. While this is a testing flight it is well known by everyone participating as well as 343i that for PC it is terribly optimized. When a 3090 runs it like total trash their is an issue. You don’t develop a game around new technology, you develop it around older and newer.
