Can't play Halo Infinite, just have a blue screen

I just installed Halo Infinite on my Xbox One after the announcement that the first season starts today. But when I try to launch the game, nothing happens. I only get a blue screen. What’s wrong? How can I fix this issue?

If you’re on Xbox/MS store, the game has to update. Right now it’s still the place-holder stuff.

But there is no update yet to install. And I don’t know when they’re going to push the update.

I keep getting your to early!

As far as I can tell, Steam is the only platform where it’s playable atm.

You need to install the game, you only have a 280.2mb key right now.

25.9GB update available on Xbox right now.

Started downloading 15 mins ago on Xbox. Cannot wait
Happy 20th Anniversary Halo & Xbox.

The update is live, it’s just not being pushed yet.

If you already have the placeholder for Infinite installed, just hover over the tile and press start, go to “manage game” and you’ll then see the update under the relevant section.

If you don’t have the placeholder downloaded yet, I can’t speak from experience but I’d assume it would auto-install the most recent version. If it does version 1.0 then do the steps above.

This issue should be resolved now. Hard reset your console and try the update again as it’s now fully live
