Can't play game because an account was previously logged in

I inherited a computer from a family member who owned the game previously on her Steam account. Both her steam account and the email associated with her microsoft account have been closed because she passed away.

After backing up and wiping the machine, the MCC won’t let me pick from another account to play Halo on. It defaults back to her account to try and log in as, and is reloading the sign-in screen if I select “Choose another Microsoft account to play with.” Is there any way around this?

That’s a negative, unfortunately. Tried that, tried deleting all MCC files off the computer, and tried a fresh reinstall.
