Can't play CE:A on Reach disk

Two days ago I finally got around to opening my CE:A box and I found the expected contents inside. I entered all the codes and waited for all the files to download patiently. Upon finishing, I rushed into Halo reach’s multiplayer expecting to play the anniversary playlist. Every time I get matched up with people and the voting finishes, it says loading failure initiating new vote. A couple times later ill get kicked out and currently I am on probation because It kicked me out too many times. It works fine on the CE:A disk, but It won’t work for me on the reach disk. I used the code to down the map pack for reach as I read from many sources and it still doesn’t work.

Help please? :frowning:

Try going to account management, Download history, and re-download the maps. I believe your download mite be corrupted.

Yeah, but thats for general Xbox support. Is there one specifically for halo?

Xbox 101 may also help! Its on your xbox!

I had this problem with Reach before where Maps refuse to load. I simply installed the Game to the Hard Drive and everything loads now. If the installation failed, you might have to borrow someone with a good condition copy of Reach then go back and reinstall It. Don’t worry, the Xbox won’t focus on reading off from the disc, instead, It will load from the Hard Drive. The only part where It will read is when you insert it to the Xbox. It needs to make sure that you are inserting a copy of Halo: Reach. Then after that, the Xbox will read from the Hard Drive.

the disk is scratched for you. I got mine resurfaced, but custom games and forge dont work for non-dlc maps. they used very cheap disks.

Yeah and a crack is starting form so I took action and installed It to the Hard Drive. This is the second copy of Reach and I ain’t going to get a third one. Bungie really went cheap in manufacturing these discs, I don’t know why.

If you have enough Hard Drive space, just install It to the HDD. Cuts down on Disc wear and load times…
