Can't open the game

1. What is the issue?
Every time I try to play the game the window pops up for a few seconds, goes away, then a browser window opens with the message:
DEAR ‘HALO WARS 2’ PLAYER
The game was unable to launch because it could not establish a connection to the revalidation servers.
Please enable your internet connection and then restart the game to play.

My internet connection is fine, I checked the network connection in the Xbox app to be sure and it was good too. I’ve tried opening the game through the Xbox app and through the store. I’ve tried signing out and signing back in. I’ve tried resetting my PC. I’ve tried doing Win+R WSRESET and then resetting the PC. I’ve tried going to the command prompt and entering ipconfig/flushdns and then resetting the PC. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I’ve tried all the solutions I’ve seen that have worked for other people and I’m still not able to open the game.

CPU: Intel(R) Core™ i5-6500 @ 3.20GHz

Windows 10 Version: Windows 10 Home (fully updated)

3. What’s your gamertag?
PickSix727

4. What region are you playing from?
North America

I finally figured out the issue. I had to sign in to the store separately and then the game worked. Originally I was signed in to the Xbox app, and went to the store through the app. Whenever I did that it acted like I was signed in already so I didn’t realize I wasn’t. Once I opened the store separately from my start menu I realized it was showing me signed out. Once I signed in the game worked. Not sure why it was like this, basically saying I was signed in when I wasn’t, but thought I’d share this solution in case others are having the same problems.
